Tampon update

Last year, I wrote a little about a site that taught you how to make cool and disturbing things out of tampons. Those bloody heart earrings. Wow. Anyway, at the time, they didn't have a particular tampon craft I'd always wanted to make, the pan flute. I believe I mentioned it here. Well, someone must have been reading my blog because guess what's there now! Yes, indeed, complete with video. They still don't have a slide whistle, though.

Well, did you look?

Crystal, I figure I've got at most 15 more years of amazement, 10 if I'm lucky. I'm hoping to have my house paid off first. So it's a race between my checkbook and my pocketbook. It'll be close.

'nuf said, then, RC.

Casdok, welcome! I admit, I had to look up Blue Peter. With a name like that, I wasn't sure what I'd find! I can just imagine holding up a tampon-applicator pan flute. "Here's one I made earlier."

When my son was about 10 he made a tampon mouse by soaking one in a glass of water (tampon, not mouse), sqeezing out the excess, shaping said tampon into a more mousey shape including little ears and then adding eyes, nose and piebald markings with a felt-tip pen.

Having done all of the above, he left it on his sister's plate at breakfast. I think she might have found it funnier had she not been suffering from monstrous PMT at the time........

Nice.
